Hi fellow dynamics NAV 2013 users,
I have setup several NAV Server service instances on the same NAV 2013 Server.
Forexample: http://ppe.blogs.msdn.com/b/nav/archive/2012/10/18/how-to-have-few-microsoft-dynamics-nav-2013-services-on-the-same-server.aspx
- Net tcp port sharing is being used, to share port 7046 for all nav server service instancess
- SQL object change listener configured on the SQL server
- SQL querying configured (NAV service broker). On the SQL server
- each NAV 2013 server service instance uses the same domain account to start
- this service user has rights on the SQL db's
- Users has the RTC client installed locally
- Credential type UserName is being utillized.
PROBLEM:
I've found that I can connect to the wrong instance. Forexample customer A have a instance named Test_Forever, then customer B can edit the config file that there RTC client program shortcut points to with the -settings commandline option, and write Test_Forever in the config file and they will be able to open the RTC client, and the client will be connected to an instance that do not belong to that customer.
Is the above setup not supported or have I totally overlooked something?
I hope someone in here can be supportive and give me some feedback.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.
